Huong is a Venture Partner at Monk’s Hill Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in early-stage tech companies in Southeast Asia. She has worked in multiple countries in Southeast Asia, and spent more than a decade in Silicon Valley before returning to Vietnam recently. Huong is responsible for sourcing, analyzing and executing deals, and working closely with portfolio companies.

Huong brings over 15 years of experience operating in both Silicon Valley and Southeast Asia across different stages, from early and mid-stage emerging startups, to Fortune 500 companies serving hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

Huong has launched numerous consumer products for Unilever a​cross different Southeast Asian emerging markets. She worked on the mobile launch of Yahoo flagship communications products (Mail, Messenger) as the world went mobile. She built her own travel startup, Magpie, out of the Stanford StartX accelerator leading to an acquisition. Most recently, Huong led a new business unit creating Local Discovery products serving merchants and users at MoMo – a fintech unicorn in Vietnam.

Huong holds an MBA from Stanford University as the first student from Vietnam to attend the business school after the war ended in 1975. 

Jeffrey Lim is the Managing Partner at Signite Partners, a venture capital firm under Shinsegae Group in Korea.

Before joining Signite, he was a General Partner of 500 Startups Korea, where he invests in early stage startups. Prior to 500 Startups, he was the Head of Campus Seoul, part of Google's global network to support entrepreneurs. He started his venture investment career at SoftBank Ventures Korea where he focused on internet and technology startups.

Jeffrey holds a M.S in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, and a M.S in Industrial Engineering from U.C.Berkeley. He earned his B.S in Industrial Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

이전에는 실리콘밸리의 벤처캐피털 500스타트업코리아(500 Startups Korea)의 한국 공동대표파트너로 초기 스타트업에 주로 투자했으며, 이전에는 구글캠퍼스서울 총괄로서 창업가들을 위한 창업교육프로그램과 커뮤니티행사를 주최하며 창업가들의 성장에 도움을 주었다. 이를 통해 그의 재직기간동안 구글캠퍼스서울은 2년 연속 창업가들이 “가장 가고 싶은 스타트업공간”으로 뽑히기도 했다. 소프트뱅크벤처스에서 벤처캐피털리스트로 근무하며 다수의 인터넷, 게임, 반도체 등 분야의 스타트업에 투자한 바 있다.

지난 20년간 실리콘밸리와 한국의 스타트업 생태계를 오가며 많은 창업가를 만났다. 이 경험을 바탕으로 2017년에는 창업가정신에 대한 책 <창업가의 일>을 펴냈다.

KAIST에서 산업공학 학사 학위를 취득했으며 미국 U.C. 버클리에서 산업공학 석사 학위를, 스탠퍼드 대학교에서는 경영과학 및 공학 석사 학위를 받았다. 

Thoo Wee Meng is senior partner responsible for investment strategy in Private Markets focusing on Private Equity and Venture Capital at Leonie Hill Capital, a Singapore based family office with presence in Singapore, Switzerland and in the US. Wee Meng spent many years in Switzerland operating in Wealth Management and Family Office management roles in Europe. He is also an active investor collaborating with the UN and related Non-profit organizations in Switzerland and European countries. With a Technology Engineering background, Mr. Thoo had previously held several management positions in global technology firms like HP, Oracle, Vmware and NEC. He has used his experience in M&A and IPO to invest in PE/VC funds, direct investments with Family Offices, institutional funds and corporations towards successful exits
